Welcome, and thank you for visiting Leila Hearn Counselling & Supervision. My name is Leila and I am a therapist providing both short- and long-term therapy to adult individuals in Almondsbury, Bristol and Online.
We can all experience moments where we feel stuck and unsure of how to break free from repeating patterns or ongoing struggles. Many of my clients come to me wanting to explore these challenges, gain insight and awareness, and take meaningful steps toward changing how they feel in their lives. I support clients with many different needs, working with adults to provide relief from issues such as anxiety and depression, self-esteem and self-worth struggles, relational issues, trauma, abuse, grief and loss, burnout and work based stress and social anxiety. I have lived experience and also work with and welcome clients exploring racial identity and LGBTQIA+ topics.
I am passionate about supporting you to work through challenges that you bring and my therapeutic approach is warm, open, and deeply relational. I believe in showing up as my authentic self and fostering a genuine connection built on trust and transparency. The relationship between therapist and client is at the core of my work, and creating a space where you feel safe, understood, and comfortable is my priority.
I have a busy practice, both face to face in Almondsbury, Bristol and online with national coverage using Zoom video conferencing.
I work in an integrative way, which means that I am trained in different modalities and work in a bespoke, holistic manner, using the theories that fit with your needs.
We may make links to the past, looking at how this affects patterns and behaviour today, as it is the here and now that I find beneficial to create real, lasting change.
Alongside talking therapy, I offer creative ways of working that can support the exploration of feelings that may be hard to articulate or not yet fully conscious.

I work as a therapist with Talk to the Rainbow with LGBTQIA+ individuals and have worked with Bristol Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have experience providing counselling to hospital staff within the NHS, offering support in navigating the unique challenges of their roles.

"Counselling sessions with Leila have made a huge difference to my life. Understanding why I was struggling and having space to process difficult feelings and events from my past, meant I could put boundaries in place to improve my well being and move forward. I am so glad I found Leila and will forever be grateful for her insights, knowledge and care."
